Scrap Happy!

I have spent the last 3 days in pure bliss! I have been in Weaverville with my best friend ...scrapbooking! We arrived on Thurs. afternoon and we'll be here until Sun. afternoon, doing nothing but scrapbooking. It has been a black hole, where stories have been revisted through photos and gossip with my friends has been non-stop. I really can't describe how time just escapes me, how can midnight come so quickly? I must say my original scrapbooking goals have been re-evaluated many times, kind of like getting more food than you can eat?! But, as my best friend keeps telling me, "are you having fun? That is the point, not the production!" Really, that is the point and I am having so much fun. It is so rare that we get to spend time without our two husbands and eight kids! I love this weekend and am counting down the days until we meet again next year. (let's just hope we don't have to start scrappin' exactly where we leave off tomorrow...)

In the beginning...

So, here is my very first blog! I hope to use this blog as a way to remember and capture the little moments in my busy life. Being a mom of five kids there are always little tidbits that I would love to keep and remember forever. Usually I scarcely remember these moments even until my husband comes home. Why do we always remember the frustrating and annoying moments?! Hmm.. Anyways, my kids are growing up way to fast and on the go way too much. I can't wait to slow down and archive the little sweet ways my family interacts with each other. I know that this new hobby will bring a smile to my face and allow me to reflect on the simple joys of being a mother and wife; even when if feels like I hear those words "on your mark, get set, Go" everytime my morning alarm goes off.
